My works are about the changing rhythms of life. Distinct and separate elements come together in ever changing ways to evoke feelings and states of mind that are constantly in flux.

The paper is an active field where I create moments using an array of printmaking techniques together. It is not a passive rectangle which receives a single rectangular plate with neat, regular margins.

I contrast irregularly cut or torn colored chin collé papers with detailed rectangular or circular intaglio images. On the printing paper, amid the chin collé shapes, I place askew one or more intaglio plates, which are small relative to the paper. I move, alter and replace elements until I find a rightness. Other elements make their way in: collographed textures like lace or veneer, monotype patterns or gestures and found or made hand stamps.
