My work stems from the people in my everyday life (friends, lovers, and bitter sworn enemies). I pull moments I share with others and I create monochromatic drawings that tell a story. The drawings are small in size and with abstracted human figures floating around the page. I use the figures as a tool to begin a dialogue with the viewer. I believe in using the drawings as a method of sharing my story. The moments that I select to work from are usually the ones I would rather forget (a recent breakup, a really bad day, or the lose of a friend). My work comes from straight from my life that existed my journal before landing on any pieces of hand made paper. As an artist I feel in art there should always be the direct connection between the viewer, the art and the artist.
